Research and Publication Misconduct

KLAUSULA: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara, Hukum Administrasi, Pidana dan Perdata

KLAUSULA does not tolerate research or publication misconduct. Allegations are handled carefully, confidentially, and fairly, with attention to the available evidence and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Fabrication and Falsification

Fabricating data, sources, quotations, cases, legal materials, or research findings, or manipulating them in a misleading way, constitutes serious misconduct.

Plagiarism and Misappropriation

Using another person's words, ideas, structure, data, or intellectual contribution without proper acknowledgement is prohibited. This includes substantial unattributed copying and inappropriate reuse of previously published material.

Duplicate and Redundant Publication

Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to multiple journals or republished substantially without transparent disclosure, appropriate justification, and proper citation.

Authorship Misconduct

Ghost authorship, gift authorship, omission of significant contributors, or inaccurate representation of contribution is not acceptable. Authorship should reflect meaningful scholarly contribution and accountability.

Citation and Review Manipulation

Coercive citation, excessive self-citation without scholarly relevance, fabricated reviewer identities, peer-review interference, and other attempts to manipulate editorial or citation processes are prohibited.

Undisclosed Conflicts and Ethical Breaches

Failure to disclose material competing interests, unethical handling of confidential material, or serious breaches of research ethics may constitute misconduct.

Handling Allegations

  1. Concerns may be reported to the editorial office with supporting information.
  2. The editor conducts an initial assessment to determine whether further review is warranted.
  3. The author or other relevant party may be invited to respond to the allegation.
  4. Additional documentation or independent assessment may be requested where necessary.
  5. Editorial action is determined according to the seriousness of the issue and the available evidence.

Possible Editorial Actions

Depending on the findings, KLAUSULA may reject a manuscript, request clarification or correction, suspend editorial processing, replace a reviewer, issue a correction or expression of concern, withdraw or retract published content, and notify relevant parties when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
