Generative AI Policy

Generative AI Policy

KLAUSULA: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara, Hukum Administrasi, Pidana dan Perdata

KLAUSULA recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools may support certain aspects of scholarly work. However, the use of GenAI must not replace human accountability, scholarly judgment, research integrity, or compliance with ethical and publication standards.

Human Accountability

Authors, reviewers, and editors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical compliance of all work handled through the journal, regardless of whether AI tools are used.

AI Is Not an Author

Generative AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot take responsibility for the work, approve the final version, disclose conflicts of interest, or be accountable for the integrity of the scholarly record.

Permitted Support

  • language improvement, grammar, spelling, and readability support;
  • assistance with organizing or restructuring text;
  • summarization or drafting support that is subsequently reviewed and verified by the author;
  • other limited assistance that does not replace scholarly judgment or original intellectual contribution.

Prohibited or High-Risk Use

  • fabricating data, legal sources, quotations, references, cases, or research findings;
  • using AI output without verifying factual and legal accuracy;
  • concealing substantial AI-generated content where disclosure is required;
  • uploading confidential manuscripts or sensitive editorial material into unapproved public AI systems;
  • allowing AI to independently make editorial, peer-review, or acceptance decisions.

Disclosure and Transparency

Where GenAI has materially contributed to manuscript preparation, analysis, translation, or content generation, the author should disclose its use transparently in the manuscript, acknowledgement, methods section, or another appropriate location as required by the journal.
