Archiving & Backup Policy

KLAUSULA: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara, Hukum Administrasi, Pidana dan Perdata

KLAUSULA maintains archiving and backup procedures to protect published content and journal data from accidental loss, technical failure, corruption, unauthorized modification, or other disruptions that may affect access to the journal's scholarly record.

Archiving of Published Content

Published issues, article files, metadata, supplementary files, and related publication records are maintained within the journal's electronic publishing system and supporting storage infrastructure.

Backup Coverage

Backup procedures should include journal database records, article and issue files, metadata, configuration information, uploaded supplementary files, and other data required to restore journal operations.

Backup Procedures

  • Backups should be performed regularly according to the journal's technical and hosting capacity.
  • Backup copies should, where possible, be stored separately from the primary production server.
  • Critical journal files and database records should be included in each scheduled backup cycle.
  • Access to backup locations should be restricted to authorized personnel.
  • Backup integrity should be checked periodically to ensure that stored data remain usable.

Recovery and Restoration

In the event of data loss, server failure, corruption, or other technical disruption, authorized personnel should restore the journal from the most recent reliable backup. Recovery procedures should prioritize the restoration of published articles, issue records, metadata, and essential journal operations.

Platform Migration

When the journal migrates to a new server, hosting environment, or OJS version, archived files and metadata should be transferred carefully and verified after migration to reduce the risk of missing or inaccessible publication records.

Responsibility and Review

The journal's editorial and technical management are responsible for supporting appropriate archiving and backup practices within the available infrastructure. These procedures should be reviewed periodically and adjusted when the journal's platform, hosting environment, or technical requirements change.
