Expression of Concern

Expression of Concern

KLAUSULA: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara, Hukum Administrasi, Pidana dan Perdata

KLAUSULA may publish an Expression of Concern when there are substantial concerns about a published article but the available evidence is not yet sufficient to support a correction or retraction, or when an investigation is still ongoing.

When It May Be Used

  • evidence of possible misconduct is inconclusive;
  • an investigation by an institution or another competent body is ongoing;
  • there are serious doubts about the reliability or integrity of the article;
  • the journal expects that a final determination may take a significant period of time.

Content of the Notice

The notice should identify the article, describe the nature of the concern in a factual and proportionate manner, and avoid presenting unresolved allegations as established misconduct.

Follow-up Action

When further information becomes available, the journal should review the matter and decide whether the Expression of Concern should remain, be replaced by a correction or retraction, or otherwise be updated.

Linking to the Article

An Expression of Concern should be clearly linked to the affected article, and the article page should indicate that an editorial concern has been published so readers can easily access the relevant notice.
