Publication Ethics

All parties involved in the publication/publication process of Jurnal Cendekia Keuangan, namely Managers, Editors, Reviewers, and Authors, must understand and comply with the norms/ethics of scientific publications. The publication of the ethics statement in Jurnal Cendekia Keuangan is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications.

Journal Policy

  1. Jurnal Cendekia Keuangan starts in 2022 and is published twice yearly in the April and October editions.
  2. Manuscripts that can be published are articles on research results conducted individually or in groups.
  3. Authors whose manuscripts have been published in Jurnal Cendekia Keuangan receive one printed copy.
  4. The editorial team will check abstracts of articles that are suitable for inclusion.
  5. Authors must revise based on Reviewer feedback within the time limit the Editorial Board sets. The Editorial Board reserves the right to correct the content and writing of the manuscript without changing the substance of the content.
  6. Manuscripts reviewed and declared accepted may not be sent to other journals; Jurnal Cendekia Keuangan will block the Author if they violate these provisions.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

  1. Determine the journal's name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation.
  2. Determine the membership of the Editor.
  3. Define the relationship between the Publisher, Editor, Reviewer, and other parties in a contract.
  4. Appreciate confidential matters for contributing researchers, Authors, Editors, and Reviewers.
  5. Implementing norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  6. Review the journal's policy and submit it to the Author, Editorial Board, Reviewer, and Readers.
  7. Create a code guide to behaviour for Editors and Reviewers.
  8. Publish journals regularly.
  9. Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing.
  10. Building a network of cooperation and marketing.
  11. Preparing licensing and other legality aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor

  1. Bringing together the needs of Readers and Writers,
  2. Strive to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,
  3. Implementing a process to ensure the quality of published papers,
  4. Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively,
  5. Maintain the integrity of the Author's academic track record,
  6. Submit corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies when necessary,
  7. Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the Author,
  8. Actively solicit the opinions of Authors, Readers, Reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board to improve the quality of publications,
  9. Encourage the evaluation of journals if there are findings of violations,
  10. Support initiatives to educate Researchers on publication ethics,
  11. Examine the effect of publication policies on the attitudes of authors and reviewers and improve them to increase responsibility and minimize errors,
  12. Having an open mind to new opinions or the views of others that may conflict with personal opinions,
  13. Not defending the opinion of the Author, the Author or a third party that may result in an unobjective decision,
  14. Encourage writers to improve their writing and make them suitable for publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Reviewer

  1. Receive an assignment from the Editor to review the paper and submit the results to the Editor as material for determining the feasibility of publishing a paper.
  2. The reviewer shall not review the written work involving him, either directly or indirectly.
  3. Maintain the privacy of the Author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, inputs, and recommendations
  4. Encourage Writers to Improve Written Works
  5. Review the written work that has been corrected following the standards determined.
  6. The paper is reviewed on time according to the style of publication based on scientific principles.
  7. Reviewers are expected to be able to identify manuscripts published in other scientific journals so that there is no double publication.
  8. In reviewing the manuscript, the reviewer must show the reasons that caused the rejection of a manuscript.
  9. Reviewers must provide constructive input on the manuscript received with improvements.
  10. Before accepting/rejecting a banking manuscript, the manuscript must be in accordance with the reviewer's scientific field, and it must have time to review, commit, and complete it according to the deadline.
  11. The results of the review will assist the Editor in deciding whether the manuscript is suitable for publication or not.
  12. Reviewers may summarize the manuscript that has been reviewed by providing specific comments and suggestions, including layout and format, Title, Abstract, Introduction, Graphic Abstract and Overview, Methods, statistical errors, Results, Conclusions/Discussions, language and References, if a reviewer finds any suspicion, may be directly conveyed to the Editor and explained in as much detail as possible.
  13. In making recommendations for the results of a manuscript that has been reviewed, it is necessary to explain in detail the reasons if the manuscript is accepted, rejected and revised.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

  1. Ensure that those included in the list of Authors meet the criteria as Authors.
  2. A person listed as an Author for publication must have the following criteria: (a) contribute meaningfully to planning, drafting, data collection, data analysis and interpretation; (b) contribute meaningfully to the preparation, revision, and finalization of the manuscript; and (c) responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the writing of Scientific Papers.
  3. Including a person's name as an Author is discussed early to avoid disputes.
  4. Declare the origin of resources (including funding), directly or indirectly.
  5. Respond to comments made by Reviewers professionally and on time.
  6. Inform the Editor if he will retract his writing.
  7. Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another Publisher.
