THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TEACHING SPEAKING BY USING 3P (PRESENTATION, PRACTICE, PRODUCTION) METHOD AT FIRST YEAR STUDENTS OF SMAN 4 KEDIRI
Abstract
This study aims at knowing how the 3P (Presentation, Practice, Production) affects the speaking ability for the first year students at SMA N 4 Kediri. The research design which is used in this research was descriptive quantitative experimental with one group of pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this research were the X Grade students of 1 class. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test. The data gotten were statistically computed by SPSS. The result of this study showed that t-test is 74.06. It’s higher than t.table at either 5% or 1% significancy level. So, it can be concluded that teaching speaking by using 3P (Presentation, Practice, Production) is effective.
