PERAN KELEMBAGAAN DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI UNTUK PENERAPAN BUDIDAYA Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) WORTEL (Daucus carota L.) DI BOYOLALI
Abstract
Wortel (Daucus carota L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura bernilai ekonomi tinggi dengan permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat, sehingga penerapan Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan keberlanjutan usahatani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara peran kelembagaan kelompok tani dan pemberdayaan petani dalam penerapan GAP pada budidaya wortel di Desa Senden, Kecamatan Selo, Kabupaten Boyolali. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap petani wortel yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani. Variabel peran kelembagaan kelompok tani terdiri atas kelompok tani sebagai kelas belajar, unit produksi, dan wahana kerja sama, sedangkan pemberdayaan petani diukur melalui aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji Korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kelembagaan kelompok tani memiliki hubungan positif dengan pemberdayaan petani wortel, terutama pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penerapan GAP.
Carrots (Daucus carota L.) are a high-value horticultural crop with steadily increasing market demand, making the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) essential for improving the quality and sustainability of farming operations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the institutional role of farmer groups and farmer empowerment in the implementation of GAP in carrot cultivation in Senden Village, Selo Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method targeting carrot farmers who are members of farmer groups. The variables related to the institutional role of farmer groups consisted of the farmer group as a learning class, a production unit, and a vehicle for cooperation, while farmer empowerment was measured through the aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Test. The results showed that the institutional role of farmer groups had a positive relationship with the empowerment of carrot farmers, particularly in the aspects of knowledge and skills in the implementation of GAP.
